Caffeine is a coffee chain with cafés across the Baltics. Its app already lets guests pay, collect 10% back and send a coffee to a friend — but every order still starts at the counter. We proposed App 2.0: order ahead from any café, build the drink exactly as you like it, and walk in when it is ready.

Caffeine serves organic coffee in cafés across the Baltics, highway cafés on the road and a functional Coffee+ menu. The current app covers payments, cashback, news, gifting and a café map — what it doesn't have is ordering ahead, so in the morning rush people in a hurry wait in line, and some leave.

The proposal keeps everything guests already like and adds the missing piece around it, designed in Caffeine's own orange, with the app in Lithuanian for its home market.

The order-ahead flow: choose a café, customize the drink, pay and pick up

The app should be as good as the coffee.

the big idea

Four taps from craving to cup

  1. 01

    Choose a café

Nearby cafés with distance, opening hours and how long the order will take.

  2. 02

    Customize the drink

Size, milk, extra shots and syrups, with the price updating as you go.

  3. 03

    Pay

In the app, with the 10% back counted automatically.

  4. 04

    Pick up, no waiting

Walk in when the order says it's ready.

drink builder

Every cup, exactly as you like it

Size, milk, shots, syrups and temperature on one screen, with the price updating as guests choose. Coffee+ — the functional drinks with mushrooms, collagen and electrolytes — gets its own category instead of hiding in the menu.

pickup

Know the moment it's ready

Guests follow the order from accepted to preparing to ready, on the order screen and on the lock screen, with the café's address and directions one tap away.

loyalty

The 10% back, now you can watch it grow

The cashback stays, and becomes visible: a progress ring to the next free coffee, levels, morning streaks and personal offers — so loyalty feels like a game guests are winning, not a number hidden in a menu.

and around it

how we'd work

From prototype to every café in the Baltics

Two to four weeks of discovery and a clickable prototype, then a pilot in three to five Vilnius cafés, then the full launch across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Integration with the existing POS, loyalty and ERP systems is part of discovery from day one.

The rollout plan: discovery, Vilnius pilot, Baltic launch

what the concept adds

Four ideas at the heart of App 2.0

  1. (1)

    Order-ahead

Choose a café, customize, pay and pick up — the missing piece in today's app.

  2. (2)

    Live pickup status

Accepted, preparing, ready — on screen and on the lock screen.

  3. (3)

    Visible loyalty

Progress ring, levels, streaks and personal offers on top of the 10% back.

  4. (4)

    Gifting & Wallet

Coffee with a personal note, and a loyalty card that lives in the phone's wallet.

visual language

Caffeine orange, served warm

The concept stays inside Caffeine's world: its signature orange for actions and highlights, warm cream for the screens, a deep espresso brown for the moments that need contrast, and a bright yellow reserved for Coffee+.
